  VEDIC ASTROLOGY BHAVAS
(HOUSES) | ASCENDANTS CLASS
In Vedic astrology the functional
nature of each planet is determined by which houses it rules
from the ascendant. This unique feature of Vedic astrology
brings a level of dynamism not found in other systems.
EX:
A gentle planet like Venus can be very destructive for certain
people. A first-rate malefic like Saturn is actually the best
planet for certain signs.
For far too long Vedic astrology students have been
fuzzy on how to apply these rules and where to look for
answers.
In this new class the important and overlooked rules
from the "Yoga Karaka" Chapter of Brihat Parashara
Hora Sastra will be illuminated with great
clarity. This important chapter details the specific rules
that determine planetary behavior based on House rulership.
The implications of these rules are far-reaching, as the
properties of the houses show the unfolding consciousness of
life on earth, through each of the 12 ascendents.
Only classic texts will be used in this class - the
same texts that was covered in my first book "The
Ascendant."
In addition, the different classifications of the houses
will be examined in detail. (Angles, trines, dusthanas,
upachayas, Trshadayas, etc.) The subtleties of these different
house classifications and qualities are what determine the
relative grace or effort of our lives as shown through the
astrology chart.
Students of Vedic astrology and Western Astrology would
benefit from this class.
A series of classes on all 12
Ascendents will follow. By the end of these two
classes you will have a much greater understanding of exactly
how to harmonize the contradictions in astrology relative to
the natural indications of a planet as a Karaka (as gentle or
cruel) and the temporal nature of the planet as a house ruler
(as benefit or malefic).
You will learn:
- The Specific Rules of House lordship from Brihat
Parashara Hora Sastra - What they mean cosmically and
how/when to apply them.
- The exceptions to the rules for each ascendant.
- The unfolding of consciousness as shown through
the house qualities.
- The four "Purusharthas" as shown through the houses:
Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha (Virtue, Value, Joy,
Freedom).
- The Six Lessons of Life, show by the rhythm of house
opposites. (Self | Other - Value - Will, etc.)
-
Much, much more.
